Antique – A Dressy Summer Lace Shawl from Heather Dixon

It’s that time of year again and if, like me, you are feeling the warmer weather as Summer approaches, you may be searching for a project that will be comfortable to knit and wear. A little something special that will dress up a simple outfit for a party, wedding or just to look fabulous in while keeping away the chills of evening breezes or air conditioning.

The first of two summer patterns I’ll be sharing, Antique features two fabulous ARTYARNS fibers, and is a fun pattern to knit –  and it looks great on any age or body type. Stay tuned for my next design, WALTZER!

ANTIQUE – Heather Dixon

Antique is worked in Artyarns Silk Rhapsody Glitter in colour #250G, with stripes of Artyarns Ensemble 4 in colour #H-8, my favourite gold – it is just stunning!

An easy rectangle shape, this simple lace stitch is easy to  remember and makes this wrap drape beautifully.

Use a gorgeous Shawl Pin to close your wrap, chose one by Rosemary Hill, to compliment your colour choice.
