Let talk needles. Lets talk Summer. Lets talk about getting somewhere and finding out you DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TIP. THE RIGHT SIZE. THE RIGHT CORD.<\/p>\n

This happened to me recently in Paris – settling down with a fabulous glass of red, I was prepared to learn how to do socks. Guess what. Wrong needles. I dug and dug, but somehow, the ONE cord I needed did not make it into the bag. So here is my suggestion for a stress-free, project completion-full summer.<\/p>\n

Marblz are a Marvel.<\/p><\/div>\n

1 – BRING MORE THAN\u00a0 1 SET.<\/strong><\/p>\n

YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT.\u00a0 Buy a Della Q Double, and pack in 4 sets of interchangables. or buy 2 DELLA Q Single Set cases, and organize your stuff that way. Bring 2 Clicks (A short tip and a rocket long tip. A Karbonz or Melody or\u00a0 Cubics or a Plymouth or Lantern Moon Rosewood or Ebony set.\u00a0 As long as you have different types for different yarns, you’ll make it.<\/p>\n

You can NEVER have enought extra cords.<\/p><\/div>\n

2 – PACK IN EXTRA CORDS & TIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, bring at least 2, perhaps 3 of EVERY size & Length. Don’t worry – if you don’t need them, you are ahead of the game. Oh, and ….\u00a0 extra endcaps,\u00a0 heartstoppers, so when you find that cute little yarn shop on Long Island, Texas, or Paris, you can buy more yarn & start something new on the road without ending up with your current project being abandoned and losing stitches.<\/p>\n

3 – BUY A DELLA CASE (or 2)
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don’ts skimp. Get the double. Thats 4 sets of interchangeables in ONE case. Plus other stuff!<\/p><\/div>\n

Preferably, as I said,\u00a0 buy at least 1 double<\/strong>. YOU NEED THIS. Why? Because in a DELLAQ DOUBLE (195) you can pack 4 sets of tips, extra cords, and lots of everything you will need. It’s a workhorse, and it rolls up small and tight and they will NEVER confiscate this at the airport. They won’t even be able to figure out how to open it LOL.<\/p>\n

3 BRING EXTRA – EVERYTHING<\/p>\n

Thats right. Everything. An extra tip or two. Several smaller circulars (the interchangeables only go down to US4 so if you are doing anything smaller – grab the regular circulars & tuck them into the case with the sets.\u00a0 Especially if you might get a SOCK urge.\u00a0 You need extra heartstoppers, extra tips, and extra cords – for any set, but ESPECIALLY for ADDIS.<\/p>\n

I’m a maniac, I know. But I NEVER want to end up in Paris without the right needle again.\u00a0 And I don’t want you too, either! :)<\/p>\n
